{"id":315,"date":"2011-05-25T10:07:37","date_gmt":"2011-05-25T15:07:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.properwichita.com\/consulting\/?p=315"},"modified":"2011-05-25T10:07:37","modified_gmt":"2011-05-25T15:07:37","slug":"tip-create-a-windows-7-system-repair-disc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.properwichita.com\/consulting\/2011\/05\/25\/tip-create-a-windows-7-system-repair-disc\/","title":{"rendered":"Tip: Create a Windows 7 System Repair Disc"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Wichita IT Support Tip for May 25, 2011<\/h2>\n<p>Windows 7 has been a pretty solid operating system so far.\u00a0 Those who have upgraded have generally been happy.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s perform a simple function that may server to keep you happy in the future, if the operating system does come up with problems.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re going to use Windows 7 to create a <strong>System Repair Disc<\/strong>.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s clarify some terms: This is not what you would think of as a System <em>Restore<\/em> disc.\u00a0 It won&#8217;t provide a backup of your operating system and data.\u00a0 The repair disc is simply a tool you or your computer tech can use to help repair your operating system in the event of corruption, or when it won&#8217;t boot at all.\u00a0 This is expecially important if your computer did not come with a Windows 7 DVD.<\/p>\n<h2>Create A System Repair Disc<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong>: Click on the start flag and type &#8216;backup&#8217;
